Help us to rebuild the lives of people affected by bereavement or a life-changing illness
Employee Well Being
The well being of employees within an organisation is vital to that organisation succeeding and filling its potential and a physically and emotionally well workforce can make all the difference in terms of sickness absence at work. At the Dove Service, it is our experience that the route of most sickness absence is bereavement, significant loss and life changing illness, which results in stress and anxiety and can significantly impact on organisations and their workforce. We believe that spending on employee well-being to include awareness raising, training and counselling is a clear demonstration of an organisations duty of care to its employees.
British businesses lose an estimated £26 billion each year in sickness absence and lost productivity. With greater awareness and support, businesses could save one third of these costs - 'a mammoth £8 billion a year' (ISMA, 2011).
We understand that it can be difficult for employers to identify when an employee is experiencing feelings associated with bereavement and loss. We want to ensure that managers, staff or volunteers are provided with awareness training, support and counselling, which supports employee well-being.
We offer awareness raising and training courses that will help organisations to provide your employees with the knowledge, skills and experience that will enable them to support others and to obtain support when they need it.
Additionally, we offer counselling and support to those affected by bereavement, illness or other significant losses, including redundancy. Our confidential counselling can support individuals to with their bereavement and or loss.
