Help us to rebuild the lives of people affected by bereavement or a life-changing illness

How you can help

Corporate

Stress, depression, staff suffering from the death of a loved one and many other losses and situations in employees lives can cause individuals to suffer, their productivity and attention to detail drops, their minds are elsewhere, there is an increased risk of accidents and absenteeism can rise – all of which can be costly to an organisation and put additional strain on work colleagues and others.

Counselling and support for your employees

In these current times redundancy, or the threat of redundancy can be overwhelming for some, even those who’s jobs are not made redundant can feel guilty, angry, upset and a range of other emotions that can affect their productivity.

You may already have occupational health cover, either offered in-house or via insurance, or you may not be so fortunate. Either way, the Dove Service can help.

We offer counselling and support to those affected by bereavement, illness or other significant losses, including redundancy. Our confidential counselling can support individuals to come to terms with their loss, allowing them to express how they feel about the loss or losses that they have and maybe are suffering, to discuss their feelings and issues and so be able to work through those, develop their own coping mechanisms and so move on from the loss.

By engaging with our counselling service individuals should be more positive, more attentive, more engaged and more productive. For those who are on sick leave, they should return to work sooner than otherwise possible, thereby reducing the cost, both in terms of money as well as pressure on others to pick-up their work, to the company.

Training

We are also able to offer a range of training modules in grief and loss; bereavement and how to support those who are affected by the death of a loved one – what to say and what not to say; listening and basic counselling skills and other, related topics. These are designed for junior, middle and senior managers, union representatives, HR and Occupational Health teams and others and are designed to enhance the learners awareness of emotional wellbeing around bereavement, illness and significant losses so that appropriate and positive support can be provided to staff and colleagues.
