How you can help

Uth Speaks

The Uth Speaks group was formed in 2009 to encourage youth participation in the Dove Service and with the purpose of aiding us in our day-to-day delivery of services for children and young people and assisting the development of external projects geared towards C&YP.

Uth Speaks Logo

Uth Speaks are working alongside the Big Lottery Fund Young People’s Project ‘the Uth Support Wing’ to ensure the service best meets the needs of young people.

Our group have designed their own logo to promote themselves, are designing T-Shirts to show their commitment to the Dove Service, have assisted us in writing interview questions for recruitment, have sat on interview panels to assist in the selection of candidates, and have provided us with input for our leaflets and website.

All the members of Uth Speaks have used our service, know someone who has used the service or have a keen interest in the charity and have volunteered their support to us.

The group meets once a month on a Saturday at our Head Office at the Dudson Centre, Hanley and are facilitated by 2 of our qualified counsellors, Alan Vann and Carol Minshull. They are supported by our 3 Dove Support Wing Counsellor Trainers.
