Help us to rebuild the lives of people affected by bereavement or a life-changing illness
What we do
The Dove Service is a charity founded in 1984 by Dr. Linda Machin: a Research Fellow at Keele University and author of Working with Loss & Grief: A New Model for Practitioners.
The Dove Listens...
The Dove Service offers counselling and support to those struggling with the impact of bereavement, significant loss or life changing illness.
Our counselling services provide a safe, confidential environment to explore the mental, cognitive, emotional aspects of loss.
It can help to talk.
We will provide a service to enable communities, groups and individuals to understand and process the cognitive, emotional, behavioural, spiritual, social cultural and physical impact of loss.
The Dove Informs...
The Dove Service also provides training for issues concerning grief, bereavement, loss, life changing illness, the emotions of grief, and other emotional well - being topics including coping with change positively
Our training can be provided to professionals, organisations, adults, children and young people.
We can deliver training out in the community. Find out more about training and mentoring.
